The Spring Scramble had an excellent turnout, 34 teams participated in this event and we are still searching for the information about the winners and runners up.
The Memorial tournament was won by the team of Greg Mc Calmont and Kevin Mullen over the team of Ray Eklund and Denis Murphy.
The Pinehurst tournament was won by the team of Mike Pomerico and Greg Kryjak on the Green course.
The NPC Classic's laurels went to Mike Birmingham who captured the gross division and Mike Gamblin who took the net division.
The Club Championship honors went to Mike Altobello who beat Sean Hartman 2 up in the championship flight, the A flight went to Adi Sutarno who beat Mike O' Grady in 19 holes, B flight to Ray Eklund beating Dan Richards 2 & 1and the C flight to Denis Murphy who beat Gary Mertens 5 & 4.
The final event of the season was the Fall Scramble, which again, had an excellent turnout. It was played on Sunday, October 2nd on the Yellow course with 18 teams vying for the coveted first place rights.
The winning team was a team comprised of late entrants and put together by John Turrisi at the last moment. The winning team of Andy Anello, Mike Pomerico, Greg Kryjak and Tom Sattler shot a respectable 56 for an 18 hole score of15 under par, and the amazing part about this feat, is that they had no eagles, making 15 birdies and 3 pars. For the record, they parred holes 2, 7 (the pin in a very precarious place) and 14. In second place with a 57, the team of Gerry Parker, Greg Mc Calmont, Steve Meltsner and Chris Mullen and third place went to the team of Dave Segot, Jeff Slater, Shawn Dunn and Eddie Rich who had a score of 58. The high score of the tournament was 66 and that honor went to the team of Mike Gamblin, John Mc Grotty, Ed Arnold and Jon 'the burglar' Silverberg who could not bring home the bacon.
