18th Hole, Par 4 - 411 Yds, Hdcp 15 |
The final tee shot is played from an elevated tee, which must be strategically placed between the bunkers sandwiching the fairway. The fairway at this juncture narrows down to just over twenty yards and has made the first shot very critical. The second shot from the fairway to the elevated kidney shaped green, has not been made any easier as changes were made for the 2002 Open.
The two bunkers guarding the green at each side and of Gargantuan proportions, will strike fear in the heart of most.
This hole before it was renovated for the 2002 U.S. Open, produced the most birdies of any par four on the course; not anymore.
