2004 A Year of Repeats
The Black
The Spring Scramble kicks off the NPC season.  It is played on the Red course on Sunday, May 16th and the team of Pete Flynn/Jon Silverberg shot a 6 under par 64 to win.  Sean Mc Gowan and John Kothe took second place with a 66 and the team of Dave Segot and Al Jinete, took third place on a match of cards over the team of Pete Amoruso and Ernie Bodo.  The team of Ray Reynolds and Mike Finnegan ended in last place with 79. The team of Mike Frantz and Henry Roed did not turn in a score card.

Let it be known, that the famous Burglar, has now won the Spring Scramble in three of the last four years, each time with a different partner.

The Jack Burger Memorial Pinehurst two man tournament was won by the team of Al Channin and John Turrisi who shot a net 62, besting their closest competitors Hugh Callaghan and Mike Pomponio by 1 stroke.  Third place went to the team of Dan and Glenn Richards who shot 65.  The team of Shawn Dunn and Mike Gamblin finished in last place after shooting 79.  The team of Brian Benz and Larry Contillo did not turn in a score card.

Dave Segot beat Mike Brown and by winning the coveted trophy in the Club Championship, becomes the only three-time champion of the Nassau Players Club.  The A flight was won by Andy Atsidakos who beat Ray Corrigan; the B flight winner was Ray Eklund who beat Glenn Richards and the C flight went to Eddie Rich who beat Al Jinete 1 up.  It is worth mentioning that Al Jinete after 7 holes of play, was 6 down but came back to square the match on the 17th hole of the Black course, when he almost got a hole in one from 205 yards.

The NPC Classic, the tournament that requires one round on the Red course from the Blue tees and a round on the Black from the White tees, was played on September 4th and 12th and the final results were as follows:

Andy Anello, 149; Matt Corrigan, 152 and Joe Subbiondo, 153 took first, second and third places respectively.  The Net division went to: Mike Froloff, 142; Denis Murphy, 144 and Mike Altobello who shot and tied Adi Sutarno with a 148.
