11th Hole, Par 4 - 435 Yds, Hdcp 11 |
The same fairway bunker complex that runs on the left side of the 10th hole, also runs on the left side of the 11th and will swallow shots hit offline making the green unreachable in two. The temptation on the tee to aim at the green should be resisted because the tee shot should be aimed further right towards the right green side bunker. Always keep in mind that you have more room on the right and less room on the left than you think. The green is no longer open to the approach shot, and as the trees behind the green make the wind swirl and bring the incoming ball short, the front bunkers will be seeing many par save attempts.
The green itself is a generous size, but slopes fairly steeply from back to front with a noticeable fall-off the back. A putt hit down, or across and down, the slope is always a challenge. This is without a doubt, one of the more difficult greens on the course.
