Also at 14 under was the team of Ron Levinson, P.J. Riordan, Ed Carey and Charlie Sullivan. Nassau Players vs. The Montauk Downs Club: The Nassau Players held a 13 – 11 lead after the singles matches held on the Red Course in the Spring. In September, the Nassau Players earned 5 1/2 points at Montauk downs in 12 fourball matches. The 18 1/2 points yielded the club’s first ever title over the Montauk Club. The Memorial: 2 Man Best Ball on the Blue Course: Mike Birmingham and John Turrisi – 9 under 63.
